Luigi Sibona is a neurodivergent writer and director known for crafting genre narratives that delve into complex social themes. With a flair for creating unexpected and visceral stories, Luigi’s work aims to challenge conventions while never forgetting the thrill of a gripping yarn.

After years honing his distinctive visual style in music videos, Luigi made a splash with his BAFTA-qualifying debut short film, Mantis. The film garnered accolades at numerous BAFTA and Academy Award-qualifying festivals worldwide, including the Best Horror award at the British Short Film Awards.

His follow-up short, In Your Hands, produced by Grey Moth, continued his success, earning selections at prestigious festivals like the Academy Award-qualifying Tampere Film Festival and BAFTA-qualifying Aesthetica Short Film Festival. The film has amassed multiple awards, including the Audience Award at the BIFA-qualifying North East International Film Festival and Best Short at the British Horror Film Festival.

Luigi's third short, Far From The Plains, co-written with acclaimed writer, Niellah Arboine, and produced by Noir Productions, Grey Moth and Hollow Films, has just started it's festivals run, and is already set to hit multiple Oscar and BAFTA qualifying festivals around the world. Alongside this, he is actively writing and developing several other projects, including his first feature film.
